Carterton pays tribute to fallen soldiers

Relatives and friends of the six soldiers who died in an explosion in Afghanistan on March 6th have watched the cortege pass through the town of Carterton in Oxfordshire. Hundreds of people turned out to applaud them and place roses on their hearses.

Soldiers' bodies come home

The plane carrying the bodies of six soldiers killed in Afghanistan a fortnight ago has landed at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. The servicemen were on patrol in Helmand province when a bomb under their Warrior vehicle exploded.
