Whizz Kidz CEO says kids are 'isolated' without wheelchairs

Ruth Owen, the chief executive of Whizz Kidz has said that children have become "isolated" because local authorities are not giving the right equipment on time.

Disabled children's wait for care

Disabled children and their families sometimes wait for up to a year for aids such as wheelchairs, a social care watchdog review has found. The Care Quality Commission found the national average wait for powered wheelchairs is three months.
