Airlines warn of Easter gridlock

Eleven airlines, including British Airways and Virgin, have warned the Home Secretary that Britain's airports could end up gridlocked over Easter because the border controls are "dangerously understaffed."

Vaz warns of another 'severe embarrassment' over border checks

"What we need to do is balance the issues of security with the issue of the convenience for passengers," says Labour's Keith Vaz, Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee.

"Not addressed, this dangerous cocktail could be a severe embarrassment to the Government. I hope the Home Secretary will take this warning."
