A series of events are being held to mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster of April 1912. Relatives of the victims are attending a memorial service commemorating the ship setting sail from Southampton 100 years ago.

Prayers said for victims of Titanic disaster

A memorial service, marking the 100th year anniversary of the Titanic disaster, has taken place aboard the MS Balmoral at the wreck site in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Cruise ship passengers - including descendants of those who perished - and crew said prayers at the spot where the Titanic sank with the loss of more than 1,500 lives.
