Virgin planes have been involved in several accidents in the past, none of which resulted in any passengers or crew being harmed:
- In August 2011, a Virgin Boeing 747-400 entered a closed section of the taxiway at ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago and blew a tyre.
- In February 2005, a Virgin Airbus A340-600 was diverted to Amsterdam after a fault with the fuel computer system resulted in one engine failing.
- In November 1997, a Virgin Airbus A340-300 made an emergency landing at Heathrow airport after landing gear jammed
