Lawyers for Sheffield United and Wales footballer Ched Evans say he will appeal against his conviction for raping a 19-year-old woman in a hotel room. In a statement posted on the Yorkshire club's website, law said he "maintains his innocence".
Evans was jailed after being found guilty of raping the woman at a hotel in North Wales last May.
