Trussell Trust: 500,000 Britons needing food banks by 2016

The charity says two foodbanks are opening every week, with 200 now across the UK.

Record number in 'food poverty'

The number of people relying on food banks to feed their family has increased dramatically in the past year. The Trussell Trust says 128,000 people are now using their food banks. 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK.
