Recession 'blighting pupils' lives'

Teachers are reporting that more children are arriving at school hungry, dirty, and struggling to concentrate. A study from the Prince's Trust also reports that teachers are seeing in increase in the number of malnourished children.

Teachers 'fear pupils face life on the dole'

Fears that school children will become the next victims of the financial crisis have been raised in the Prince's Trust report.

Half of the teachers surveyed said they expect more of their pupils than ever before will end up on benefits.
