Parents' fears over child ads

Nine in 10 parents are concerned about the commercialisation and sexualisation of childhood, and think there are problems with the way some companies advertise to children, according to a poll for the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Survey: 9 in 10 parents worry about child-targeted adverts

Parents have shown concern about the commercialisation and sexualisation of children.

Nine in 10 parents are concerned about sexually explicit outdoor advertising and inappropriate products for children, such as padded bras.

The poll was carried out by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
