Carr apologises for tax scheme

The comedian Jimmy Carr has apologised for using a tax avoidance scheme. David Cameron told ITV News yesterday Carr's tax arrangements were "morally wrong" - but today refused to comment on singer Gary Barlow's tax affairs.

Jimmy Carr's tax arrangements: 'It's not fair and it's not right'

David Cameron has condemned comedian Jimmy Carr's tax arrangements. The Prime Minister told ITV News that "it is not morally acceptable."

"Think of all those people who work hard and pay their tax, and out of that post-tax income save up to go and see Jimmy Carr, he's taking that money and stuffing it somewhere where he doesn't pay tax. That's not fair, that's not right."
