Pupils 'could suffer under new proposals to scrap GCSE exams'
Dr Wendy Piatt from The Russell Group, which represents 20 of the UK's leading universities, has warned that pupils could be pigeonholed under new proposals to scrap GCSEs and bring back the O-Level.
Dr Piatt told Daybreak that school exams do need updating but that children at a very early age could be put on a course that isn't suitable for them.
