Men convicted of paying children for sex

Five men have been found guilty of paying for the sexual services of a child following a trial at Derby Crown Court. The jury heard the men preyed on vulnerable teenage girls, picking them up on the street and paying them around £30 to have sex with them.

The men convicted are:

  • Mark Adaoui, 40, of Carlton Road, Derby, found guilty of two counts of paying for the sexual services of a child and one count of supplying cannabis.
  • Ijaz Ahmed, 35, of Becher Street, Derby, found guilty of three counts of paying for the sexual services of a child.
  • John Shaw, 55, of Kniveton, was found guilty of two counts of paying for the sexual services of a child. He was found not guilty of assault.
  • Stefan Godfrey, 44, of George Street, Pinxton was found guilty of two counts of paying for the sexual services of a child.
  • Anthony Lambert, 51, of Warren Street, Derby, was charged with two counts of paying for the sexual services of a child. He was found guilty of both offences.
