Del Missier admits regrets over Libor fixing

Jerry del Missier has admitted to the Treasury Select Committee, that in retrospect, Barclays' decision to fix Libor rates was improper.

The bank's former chief operating officer told MPs that he regretted that the action had sullied the company's reputation.

UK banks blamed over Libor

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has accused the British Bankers Association of not taking on suggestions from the Federal Reserve over Libor. Bernanke told the Senate he didn't know if US banks were rigging the Libor process.
