Heath Ledger's father: We can't blame him for Denver massacre

The father of Heath Ledger has said the mass killings at the Batman movie screening in Denver should make the United States think again about gun laws.

Speaking to Australia's Herald Sun, Kim Ledger said he was appalled when he heard about the massacre, but he said "we can't blame Heath or the character. It's fictitious."

The gunman called himself 'The Joker', the character played by Kim's late son in The Dark Knight.
