Transport for London have issued a statement after Underground tube services on the Central Line had been part suspended, just four days before the Olympics will begin:
The Central line is currently suspended between Bethnal Green and White City while our technicians respond to a track fault at St Pauls. Our Emergency Response Unit is on site and we are working hard to restore services as soon as possible. All other London Underground lines are running a good service.
The Central line problem occurred close to 7.00pm this evening, when the vast majority of people had already made their way to Stratford.
Our staff are on site working hard to restore the Central line as soon as possible.
