Landslide death woman named

A young woman who died after being buried by tonnes of rock following a landslide on a beach in Dorset was named today as Charlotte Blackman from Derbyshire. The incident took place at the Freshwater Beach holiday park at Burton Bradstock beach.

Search and rescue mission to continue through night

A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that the search and rescue mission is still under way to find one person trapped under a landslide and will continue through the night.

Group Manager Mick Stead said that emergency services are using specialist equipment to locate the person, but that their presence has only been confirmed by eyewitnesses.

He did not give any further information about the person, but said that he believed his or her family had been in the vicinity.
