Olympic Torch last leg complete

On the final day of the Olympic Torch relay, the flame visited Hampton Court Palace and travelled on the royal rowbarge Gloriana. It will then be kept at City Hall before its appearance at the opening ceremony, completing its 8,000 mile journey.

Carol Hoy: 'I'm so proud that my son will carry British flag at the Olympic opening ceremony'

Sir Chris Hoy's mother, Carol, has told Daybreak that she is proud of her son, who will carry the British flag at the Olympic opening ceremony on Friday.

Speaking ahead of the Olympics she said: "I'm very proud of Chris for many reasons and I do think he is a role model."
