Boris: 'We've been able to turn off a lot of Games lanes'
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson has announced that "a lot of Games lanes" have been switched off because they were not being used:
Actually we've been able to turn off a lot of the Games lanes because so many people are going by public transport.
It turns out a lot of the Olympic bureaucrat types who could go in the Games lanes are using public transport.
[IOC President] Jacques Rogge, himself, today took the DLR and I'm proud to say and a lot of them are doing that, that is good news.
He spoke after a meeting of security and Government officials and revealed that they also "talked a bit about how to crack the ticketing problem".
