Sir Chris Hoy told the BBC: "It's just immense pride to be able to do it here, in the UK, in front of this crowd who have been phenomenal. You can't overstate what this means to us in front of a home crowd. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
Great Britain's Sir Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny and Philip Hindes won the gold medal in the men's team sprint, making it Hoy's fifth Olympic gold. Sir Chris has received tributes from fellow athletes and the Prime Minister for his achievements.
