Surrey bids to stage Tour de France after Olympic frenzy
Surrey County Council is hoping to host a stage of the Tour de France following the enormous crowds that greeted Team GB's Olympic cycling success, as ITV London reports.
Thousands lined the men's time trial course to see Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome collect the gold and bronze medals on the home roads yesterday.
