Iftikhar and Farzana Ahmed killed for 'cultural reasons'

Iftikhar and Farzana Ahmed have been sentenced to life with a minimum of 25 years for killing their daughter. The judge, Mr Justice Roderick Evans, said they had killed her for "cultural reasons" and they it had been "as fundamental breach of trust as can be imagined".

Shafilea murder: Parents jailed

Iftikhar and Farzana Ahmed have both been jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 25 years after being found guilty of murdering their teenage daughter Shafilea in an "honour killing".
