Mo Farah's victory gets biggest UK TV audience of Games so far

Some 17.1 million people tuned in to watch Mo Farah win the 10,000m last night - the biggest UK TV audience for the Games so far, excluding the opening ceremony.

And overnight ratings showed that 16.3 million people watched Jessica Ennis triumph in the heptathlon on an amazing night for UK athletics.

BBC Olympics boss Roger Mosey tweeted the "stunning viewing figures for last night's amazing athletics".

They also included an audience of 15.6 million for Greg Rutherford's long jump gold and 9.2 million for the women's team pursuit win.

Britain's gold medal success

Great Britain start day ten of the Olympics in third position in the medals table - with 16 golds, 11 silvers and 10 bronze. Only China (61 medals in total) and the United States (60 in total) have accumulated more so far.
