Almost 16 million people tuned in to watch Tom Daley fulfil his dream of earning an Olympic medal last night. Just under 13 million watched Mo Farah secure his place as one of Britain's greatest athletes:

- Peak audience of 12.9 million saw the moment that Farah claimed a second gold of the Games in the 5,000m
- Canoe Sprint star Ed McKeever was watched by 2.9 million as he got Team GB's day off to a Gold medal-winning start yesterday
Teenage diving sensation Tom Daley earned his place alongside Team GB's top athletes tonight as he won a bronze medal.
Britain's Olympic triumph has been immortalised in a poem called 'Translating the British' by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
The Duchess of Cambridge cheered Team GB's hockey team to Olympic bronze on Friday.
