FirstGroup makes list of promises after winning West Coast franchise
After winning the West Coast franchise from Virgin Rail, FirstGroup have made a long list of promises, here are some of them:
- 11 new 125mph trains.
- 12,000 more seats per day.
- Improved journey time - 15 minutes quicker - between London and Glasgow.
- New direct service from London to Blackpool, Telford, Shrewsbury and Bolton.
- No job cuts to train staff or drivers.
