Gwent Police are searching for witnesses after three people, including a child, died in a house fire in Cwmbran, South Wales.
Police received a call at approximately 3.30 this morning from the Fire Service who were attending a fire at an address in Tillsland, Coed Eva, Cwmbran.
Three people have been confirmed deceased inside the address: two adults and one infant.
Fire Service and Gwent Police forensic investigations will begin this morning and officers will also be conducting house to house enquiries in the area.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and is currently in custody.
Anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed something suspicious at the address leading up to the fire are being urged to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
