John Terry found guilty by FA

John Terry has been banned for four matches and given a £220,000 fine for using insulting words which included a reference to Anton Ferdinand's colour or race following an FA independent regulatory commission hearing, the FA have confirmed.

Liverpool's Luis Suarez received an eight-match ban for racial abuse

The Football Association have found John Terry guilty of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand and he has been given a four-match ban and fined £220,000.

Last year, its panel gave Liverpool striker Luis Suarez an eight-match ban when they found him guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
