Romney will get a bounce from debate performance
The debate hasn't ended but Republicans are already claiming this a triumph for Romney. Political analyst Bill Kristol: "Best debate performance by a GOP Presidential candidate in more than two decades."
Expect much more of this in the coming hours. Democrats acknowledge in private this has been a big disappointment.
But their hope is that it hasn't swayed the undecided voters and moved the needle towards Romney. I suspect that's wishful thinking. It may not last 4 weeks but Romney will get a bounce out of this.
