Mike Jones, the Lancashire football coach who was stabbed to death in New York yesterday, is presumed to know his killer, according to New York police officials.
Releasing CCTV footage of a suspect in the 25-year-old's death, police said Mr Jones was captured on video walking with the person presumed to be his killer, suggesting that the attack was not random, according to The New York Times.
Mr Jones had been out with his girlfriend and a friend of hers until around 11.30pm, police said.
