Boris Johnson to give a keynote speech at Tory party conference

London Mayor Boris Johnson will today deliver a keynote speech at the Conservative party conference.

On Monday, Mr Johnson was given a thunderous reception when he attended a ConservativeHome fringe meeting - entitled "Boris 2012: Re-elected and Olympotastic".

Dismissing rumours that he could be a possible challenger to lead his party, the London mayor confirmed his loyalty to the prime minister and said that no one should "doubt my admiration for David Cameron."

The darling of the Conservative conference, Boris Johnson, has backed David Cameron, telling delegates he was pleased the PM called him as a "blond haired mop", because his party had to "clear things up" after Labour. He called Mr Cameron "a broom."
