Toyota apologises for 'inconvenience and anxiety'

Steve Settle, a spokesman for Toyota, said he wanted to "apologise to our customers for the inconvenience and potential anxiety" the recall had caused. Around 138,000 cars have been recalled in Britain alone.

Toyota recalls 7.4m cars

Toyota is voluntarily recalling 7.43 million cars across the world because of a potential fire risk with the power window switches. It affects vehicles sold between 2005 and 2010, including the Camry, Corolla, Yaris and RAV4 SUV models.
