Wayne Rooney will captain England in their World Cup qualifier against San Marino at Wembley.
It will be the first time the Manchester United striker has lead his country in a competitive international match.
Rooney, who has 76 caps for England, missed the first two Group H matches after suffering a nasty cut in a Premier League match.
England face the European minnows tomorrow, four days before a tougher match against Poland in Warsaw.
