US 'disappointed' over McKinnon

The US has said they are "disappointed" after the Home Secretary Theresa May blocked their request on human rights grounds to extradite computer hacker Gary McKinnon so he can stand trial. She described it as a "difficult and exceptional case".

Computer hacker Gary McKinnon is set to learn if he faces extradition

His lawyers are expected to launch a last-ditch challenge if Home Secretary Theresa May allows his removal to the United States to go ahead. McKinnon, who has Apspergers syndrome, is accused of hacking into Pentagon computers. His mother, Janis Sharp, says he's suffered mental torture.
