Thief unwittingly steals van full of reptiles

A thief got more than he bargained for when they stole a truck from a Colorado car park.

Lurking inside the back of the SUV were, among other things, a 13ft Burmese python, a three-legged 50 pound African Tortoise called Stumpy and three scorpions.

The truck and the animals belong to Phil Rakoci - known as Wildman Phil - who travels to schools and parties educating children about animals.

Phil, who is appealing for the return of the animals, had left the SUV's engine running to keep the animals warm when he visited a supermarket.
