Goalkeeper calls for attacker to be jailed
Sheffield Wednesday Chris Kirkland has told the Sun newspaper that "the thug who attacked me must be jailed for years."
The former England goalkeeper, 31, was hit in the face by a pitch intruder after Leeds had equalised in the 1-1 draw at Hillsborough.
He told the Sun: “It has to be years in jail, not months.
“People must be punished by the courts for this behaviour - and the football authorities must take firm action too.”
