Coastguard coordinating rescue of 19 oil workers from North Sea

The Shetland Coastguard is currently coordinating the rescue of 19 oil workers following the controlled ditching of a helicopter in the North Sea.


Helicopter halt after rescue

The operator of a helicopter that was safely ditched in the sea with 19 people on board is temporarily suspending flights with the model. The CHC-operated helicopter was carrying an oil crew from Aberdeen to a rig 86 miles north-west of Shetland.
