Arizona shooting rampage gunman jailed for life
Jared Loughner has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing six people and injuring 13 others, including former Arizona congresswoman Gabriella Giffords.
24-year-old Loughner killed six people during a shooting rampage in on January 8, 2011.
He pleaded guilty in August to 19 charges, including murder and attempted murder in connection with the shootings outside a supermarket in Tucson, Arizona.
He was sentenced to seven consecutive life sentences. Mrs Giffords appeared in court to hear the sentencing, along with several other survivors.
