Hammond: 'TA plans will rebuild connection with the Army'

Defence Secretary Philip Hammond has said that plans to integrate the regular and Territorial Army are about; "rebuilding the connection between civil society and the military in a way that we've lost sight of since we lost our reserves over the last twenty years."

Defence Secretary Philip Hammond has said he wants Territorial Army (TA) recruits who are ready to train and make themselves available for deployment, as he seeks to further integrate the reserves with the regular Army.
