No ceasefire in sight in Gaza conflict

ITV News's Middle East Correspondent John Ray, reporting from Gaza, has said there is a thirst for revenge on the city's streets following the killing of a Hamas military chief by Israel.

There is no ceasefire in sight, he added, with Israel now stepping up its retaliation to deadly militant rocket attacks on its territory.

Egypt has announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that is set to begin at 7pm UK time. The announcement was made by the Egyptian foreign minister in Cairo alongside US Secretary if State Hillary Clinton.
