Obama talks to Netanyahu and Mursi about Gaza violence
President Obama has spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Egyptian President Mursi by telephone about the rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel and violence in Gaza the White House has told Reuters.
Obama re-iterated to Netanyahu the US support for Israel's right to self defence and urged him to make every effort to avoid civilian casualties.
Netanyahu agreed that Hamas needs to stop its attacks on Israel to allow the situation to 'de-escalate.'
