Scottish serviceman Scott Meenagh, who lost both his legs in Afghanistan last year, has completed what is believed to be Scotland's first double amputee bungee jump.

The 23-year-old, from Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, made the 40-metre leap in a body harness, with his prosthetics removed.

Private Meenagh lost both his legs above the knee after stepping on an IED while on duty in Afghanistan last January.

“At the end of the day, I lost my legs in Afghanistan. I didn’t lose my mind," he said after the jump in Killiecrankie. “I see sports as my future."
