Three fuel tankers catch fire on Suffolk industrial estate

Three fuel tankers have caught light on an industrial estate in Suffolk, leading authorities to warn residents against leaving their homes.

Ten fire vehicles have been called to the blaze at Lady Lane Industrial Estate in Hadleigh, but there are no reported injuries.

A Suffolk fire service spokesman said:

Police have cordoned off a 300 metre (984ft) area surrounding the site and have closed the A1071 to traffic.

The main priority for emergency services is to prevent the fire spreading to other parts of the industrial estate.

Residents are advised to avoid the area and, as a precaution, keep doors and windows closed. Road users are being advised to find alternative routes and to follow diversions.
