Fire on oil rig in Gulf of Mexico kills two workers

Two people have been killed and two others are missing after a fire started on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

Four other individuals have been air-lifted to hospital.

The rig off the coast of Venice in Louisiana is owned by Black Elk Oil, a Houston-based energy company.

Two people are dead after an explosion on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, 20 miles off the coast of Louisiana, the US Coast Guard has confirmed.
