Spoilt ballot papers lead to claims of 'shambolic' police elections

In Caerphilly there were 2•5% of votes spoilt. Many people were deliberately spoiling their ballot paper. This election has been shambolic.

PCC record-low turnout inquiry

A post-mortem was under way today into the first elections for police commissioners in England and Wales after the poll was marred by a record-low turnout. A detailed inquiry has been ordered by the Electoral Commission.
