Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal

Egypt has announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that is set to begin at 7pm UK time. The announcement was made by the Egyptian foreign minister in Cairo alongside US Secretary if State Hillary Clinton.

Attacks on Tel Aviv shake confidence of citizens

The Israeli's defence system, Iron Dome, has really proved its worth.

However, while the Israeli people will be reassured by the effectiveness of their defensive umbrella, there is alarm here over Hamas's newfound ability to strike at Tel Aviv.

Its a city that has got used to being immune to the conflict with the Palestinians - now there have been three attacks in as many days. While no physical damage has been done here, there has been damage to confidence and potentially to the economy.

Tel Aviv is a business hub, it's a city that's used to attracting tourists - suddenly its not the guaranteed safe haven that it was just a few days ago.
