A Labour MP asked Speaker John Bercow if he has a "forwarding address in the jungle" for Nadine Dorries, after he claimed to have received a letter from one of her constituents.
Huw Irranca-Davies jokingly told Mr Bercow he had given up watching I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!, as being an MP he sometimes gets "tired with the endless sniping and back biting, and being surrounded by rats and snakes and even cockroaches".
Mr Irranca-Davies, MP for Ogmore, said, "I've now received a letter from a constituent of another Honourable Member which begins, 'May I apologise for writing to you rather than my own constituency MP, but living in Mid-Bedfordshire, I do not seem to have an MP at the moment'".
"Mr Speaker, what advice can you offer, or perhaps the Honourable Lady has left a forwarding address in the jungle with you?"
Mr Bercow replied, "My advice to him is that he should begin by contacting members representing neighbouring constituencies to Mid-Bedfordshire to ascertain whether any of those Honourable Members feels able to provide assistance".
