Around 51 people were injured in a 140-vehicle pile-up on a Texas road this Thanksgiving, local officials said.
The Acadian Ambulance Service, which responded to the accident, said the pileup occurred on the eastbound lane of Interstate 10, which shutdown the road in both directions.
Eight of the injured are in critical condition, according to the Reuters news agency.
It came as millions of Americans traveled across the country for Thanksgiving holiday feasts.
