Egypt judges' Mursi boycott

Egypt's opposition alliance called for protests to take place throughout country against what it called President Mursi's "illegitimate draft constitution". The country's judges will boycott the Dec.15 referendum and have refused to oversee the vote.

Crowds are beginning to gather in Tahrir Square to protest against President Mursi's new powers. State television showed a number of protests outside mosques across the city.

Supporters of the president have been staging counter protests, but there are no reports of clashes.
