The Chief Whip's spokesman says Nadine Dorries won't have the whip restored until she can prove she can rebuild bridges with her constituents, her local association and her Parliamentary colleagues. She has 14 days to prove that.
There appears to be a battle of wills between Number 10 and Dorries, who came out of her meeting confident the whip would be restored straight away.
