Israel approves building of 3,000 houses in West Bank

Israeli media has reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet has approved the plans to build 3,000 new homes for its settlers in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, after the UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to grant Palestine upgraded diplomatic status at the UN.
