Clifford: 'Very distressing' claims

Public relations consultant Max Clifford, who was released on bail after his arrest on suspicion of sexual offences, has said he is "going try and make things as normal as possible" and called the allegations "extremely distressing."

Clifford appreciates 'huge amount of support' since arrest

Max Clifford spoke outside his London office this lunchtime.

Speaking outside his central London office this lunchtime, publicist Max Clifford told reporters:

"One of the good things to come out of this nightmare is the huge amount of support - literally hundreds of people have contacted me in the last 20 hours with their messages.

"So there is always a positive side to any dreadful situation."
